How I (Emma) Put My Ideas Into Action…

So many people spend their days researching how to change their lives. They read books, watch videos, and dream of something better—but they stay stuck in the same place. Why? Because they never fully commit. They don’t take the leap. They don’t grab life by the horns and go all in to create the future they truly want.

I didn’t want to be that person.

I had a vision, and I set a clear intention. But intention alone isn’t enough. I followed through with consistent actions to bring that vision to life. It didn’t happen by chance—I worked hard on myself every single day. My Buddhist practice became the foundation of my growth. It helped me strengthen my mind, focus my thoughts, and align with the kind of life I wanted to live. Meditation and regular yoga helped me stay connected to my purpose. Life can get overwhelming and distracting, especially back in the UK, but I knew I had to stay on course. I knew this path would lead me out of the stress and chaos.

As my mind grew stronger, I became more creative. And with that clarity, I began to see that money, work, and material things weren’t the most important parts of life—they come and go. What really mattered was my family, my health, and the freedom to live joyfully, without unnecessary distractions.

That’s when I realised I no longer fit into the typical Western way of life. I let go of alcohol, developed a deeper sense of self-awareness, and found myself becoming more empathetic toward others. My curiosity about life deepened. I knew there had to be more than stress, long work hours, constantly buying more, and arguing with my kids about school systems that didn’t work for them. I craved deeper human connection, but often felt like people around me were more interested in competition than community.

Eventually, that led to isolation. Friendships faded—especially as I no longer drank—and I found myself turning back to spirituality, something that had always served me well.

I started manifesting my dreams with intention and drive. I filled my days with inspiring books, spiritual podcasts, poetry, music and motivational speakers which helped me stay focused and energised! Oh and a BIG part of this was that when I had spare time, I was ALWAYS out in nature!

I had many deep conversations with Joe about the way things were. I shared how I struggled to work within rigid systems—first in schools, then in healthcare. It always felt like I didn’t quite fit. Joe would often say, “Just keep your head down and play the game—that’s how working life is. You’ve got to get on to get paid.” But that never sat right with me. I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to just “play the game” to get by. I didn’t want to sacrifice happiness, creativity, or purpose just for a paycheck.

In nearly every job I had, I found myself clashing with the system. I’d ask questions, offer new ideas, and try to approach problems in creative ways—not to be difficult, but to genuinely improve things. Still, it was often seen as challenging authority. I came to realise that many of the environments I worked in didn’t have space for innovation or ambition unless it followed the rules—and I wasn’t willing to shrink myself to fit.

Eventually, I walked away from several roles. Not in shame, but with my head held high. Joe then told me, “You should run your own business.” And he was right. At the time, I wasn’t sure how to but I knew I had a deep desire to help people—caring for others has always been a part of who I am.

Now, it feels like everything has aligned. We’re on a journey where we can inspire others, connect with people from all over the world, and do meaningful work in our own way. I get to be my own boss, set my own rhythm, and bring my creative ideas to life—and that feels absolutely brilliant.
