Tilly
Travelling full-time with our 12-year-old daughter Tilly gives a unique perspective on family life. She’s adventurous, creative, and full of laughter, though she’ll be honest about the things she doesn’t enjoy too! Here’s a glimpse into who Tilly is and what inspires her as we journey together.
Meet Tilly – Our Creative Soul and Water Baby
Tilly is the youngest of the bunch and (for now) the quietest—though we can already see that changing as she edges closer to her teenage years. At 12, she’s starting to find her voice and her wild side, and we love watching her come into her own.

She’s always been a daddy’s girl—her words, not mine! Joe is 100% her best mate, and they’re honestly cut from the same cloth. It’s no surprise they share the same playful, slightly mischievous personalities.

Tilly has a real love for the ocean and could happily live in the water if we let her. Swimming is her absolute passion, and she lights up anytime she gets the chance to snorkel or explore marine life. One of her favourite moments so far was swimming in Central America with colourful fish, stingrays, and even spotting a nurse shark! The biggest challenge? Getting her out of the water once she’s in.

She’s also a little artist in the making. Whether it’s sketching, painting, or crafting something new, Tilly is constantly creating. She’s now working on her own mini business project—learning how to make, price, and (hopefully) sell her own creations as part of her hands-on education. She’s genuinely buzzing about it, and honestly, so are we! It feels amazing to give her space to grow her passions in a way that traditional school back in the UK never quite allowed.
And when she’s not swimming or creating, you’ll find her snuggled up with any animal she can find—especially cats. She has such a calming presence with animals, like it’s her own little form of therapy. I totally get it (I’m more of a dog person myself, but still!).
